He was predeceased by: his parents, Shelby Willis, Sr and Ethel Gillikin; his stepfather Charlie Gillikin; his brothers, Dennis Hancock and David Charles Willis; and his uncle William Riley Willis.
He is survived by: his significant other Julie West; his children, Blair Willis (Kari) of Beaufort, Matthew Willis (Desiree) of New Bern, Darby West and Kelby West; his grandchildren, Maddox, Vivian, Mavrhen and Nova; his brother Carl "Lynwood" Willis (Suzanne) of Columbia; and his nieces and nephews, Gene, Dwayne, Mark, Brett, Ryan, Dierdra and Barney.
