She was predeceased by: her parents, Eldon Willis and Lina Willis; her husband Hassel Brown Lawrence, Sr.; her brothers, Carlton Hayes Willis and Roy Willis; and her son-in-law Chris Willis.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Willis of Otway, Hassel B. Lawrence, Jr. of Otway and Juanita Russell (Jay) of Otway; her grandchildren, Renae Willis (Jason) of Davis, Hassel Brown Lawrence, III, Farmville, Kari Willis (Blair) of Beaufort, Kacyn Willis of Morehead City, Jack Russell, III and Jayme Russell of Otway; her great grandchildren, Carleigh Willis, Corey Willis, Madi Willis, Vivi Willis, Hayes Henry and Hudson Henry; her sister Lura Jean Robinson (Dan) of Ocracoke; and her siblings-in-law, Judy Willis of Clayton and Billy Lawrence (Millie) of Otway. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In keeping with the CDC guidelines pertaining to the Coronavirus, those who are ill or at-risk (elderly, immune-compromised) are encouraged to stay home.
