He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester V Scott and Beulah Christine Scott; his stepmother Ruby Scott; and his brothers, Donald Gibson and Chester Young.
He is survived by: his wife Nettie Gay Scott; his children, Jennifer Crowder, William Scott Jr. (Rocio) and Daniel Scott (Courtney); his sisters, Judy Messer (Jerry) and Lola Malmin (Paul); his grandchildren, Hunter, Paul, Chase, Matthew, Carma, Emma, Daniel, Chloe, Tinsley, Roman, Emilie, Amelia and Aiyana; and his great grandchild Cayde. He is also survived by many in-laws and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Branch Chapel Free Will Baptist Church of Selma or SECU Hospice House in Smithfield.
