He was predeceased by: his parents, Louise Mitchell and Didy Littleton Mitchell; his wife Rose Deans Mitchell; his sisters, Gladys Jones, Katie Rose, Elanor Rose Glover, Carolyn Brantley and Jane Howell; and his stepson James Brantley.
He is survived by: his siblings, Royce Mitchell of Selma and Betty Lou Underhill of Selma; and his stepdaughters, Rhonda and Lisa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Upper Black Creek Church Cemetery.
