She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph S. Edwards and Lois Rowe Edwards; her husband Robert "Bob" Peele; and her son Donnie Peele. She is survived by: her children, Richard Peele (Carolyn) of Wilson, Mark Peele (Cindy) of Micro and Debbie Diaz (Victor); her siblings, Betty Pharr of Charlotte, Bob Edwards (Phyllis) of Princeton, Henry Edwards (Ira) of LaGrange and J. S. Edwards (Shirley) of Lee's Summit, Missouri; and her grandchildren, Jamie Howell (Ben), Bobby Peele (Lisa), Dana Ash (Cam), Lauren Hayes (Matt), Zach Peele (Sara) and Emily Pittman (Stephen). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and special grand dogs.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kenly Funeral & Cremation Service (103 E 2nd St, Kenly, NC 27542). A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Grace Baptist Church Cemetery (220 Barden St, Princeton, NC 27569).
