He is survived by: his children, Dot and Shorty; his brother Carl H. Cox, Jr.; his niece Ashley Cox Schooley; his wife Sophia Reynolds Cox of Smithfield; his daughter Jennifer Cox Shook (Rory); his grandsons, Zayden of Broadway, NC. and Asher of Broadway, NC.; his siblings, Alan Rowles Cox (Vivian) of Sanford, NC and Debbie Scott (Bobby); and his brother-in-law Chuck Reynolds (Cindy) of Cameron, NC.
