With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peggy Joyce Hutto of Smithfield, North Carolina, born in Auburndale, Florida, who passed away on July 25, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Whitman and Margie Inez Lynn (Tolar); her husband James Edward Hutto; and her sister Cindy. She is survived by: her daughters, Lynn Hurt (Jason) of Smithfield and Teresa Hutto of Lake Wales, Florida; her siblings, Sam Lynn (Yvonne) of Auburndale, Tim Lynn (Donita) of Niceville, Florida, Cherrie Startt (Ed) of Cherokee and Pansey Carter (Tommy) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Megan, Andrew, Jenna, Christian, Austin, Callum, Audrey and Hunter; and her great grandchildren, Noah, Lucas, Anna, Rayleigh, Hayden and Levi.
