He was predeceased by: his parents, Merton Whitley and Delphia Whitley. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Morgan Whitley; his brother Herman Howard Whitley (Carolyn Whitley) of Smithfield, NC; and his sister-in-law Rebecca Whitley of Smithfield, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Parrish Funeral Home (1351 S Pollock St, Selma, NC 27576). A graveside service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sardis Baptist Church (5444 Brogden Rd, Smithfield, NC 27577).
