She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert F. Lennon and Kathleen Shew Lennon; her husband Joseph L. Grimes; and her brother Elbert F. Lennon, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Karen Lynn Day; her son-in-law Orin A. Day; her siblings, Betty Burgess and Dan Lennon; her sister-in-law Lynda Lennon of Fayetteville, NC.; and her friends, Rev. Ben Adams, Rev. Kristin Tucker and Rev. George Arant. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ryberg Chapel of First Baptist Church (202 S 4th St, Smithfield, NC 27577). A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Oakland Cemetery.
