With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Linda Thornton Stern of Smithfield, North Carolina, born in Four Oaks, North Carolina, who passed away on September 25, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Thornton and Merle Underwood Thornton; and her brothers, Thomas and D. C.. She is survived by: her daughter Suzanne Stern Barrett (Steve) of Atlanta, Georgia; and her granddaughter Sayre Michelle Barrett. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
