He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Hutchins and Frances Hutchins; his siblings, Mark Hutchins and Rebecca Smith; his wife Carol Hutchins; his children, Jason (Jennifer), Shana (Marc), Jonathan (Carmen) and Larry; his grandchildren, Justin (Julieanna), Jared (Frankie) and Baxter (Richard); and his pets, Harley and Posey.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (1204 Lynn Rd, Durham, NC 27703).
