He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverand Roland Everett Howell and Evonia Johnson Howell; and his siblings, Doris Howell Pate, R. J. Howell, Jerry Howell and Everett Howell.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Evans Howell; his children, Tanya Hinnefeld (Mike) and Chris Howell (Shelly); his grandchildren, Joe Hinnefeld (Mariah), Seth Howell (Bree), Maddie Hancock (Josh), Justin Hinnefeld, Sidney Howell, Christy Villafrade (Luis), Chloe Howell, Hadassah Howell and Myles Howell; his great grandchildren, Chandler Hancock, Andi Hancock, Roland Howell, Edith Hancock and Rue Howell; and his siblings, Lola Williford, Tommy Howell (Ewanda), Roy Lee Howell (Judy) and John Howell (Joy).
