It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnnie Mae Edwards of Smithfield, North Carolina, who passed away on November 18, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Woodall and Zadie Belle Sullivan Woodall; her husband Frank Edwards; and her brother Durwood Woodall. She is survived by: her children, Bennie Edwards and Angie Jacobs (Jake); her brother Cecil Woodall (Susan); her sisters-in-law, Melba Jean Woodall of Smithfield and Athlea Peedin of Pine Level; her grandchildren, Patrick Jacobs (Audrey), Ashley Norris (John), Jessica Allen (Colby), Matthew Edwards (Caroline) and Bradley Barnes (Mary Anna); and her great grandchildren, Edin Allen, Jacob Norris, Eleanor Norris, Benjamin Edwards, Carson Edwards and Whit Barnes.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Tee's Chapel FWB Church (6434 Brogden Rd, Smithfield, NC 27577). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
