He is survived by: his wife Beth Ann Evans; his son Jeffery Evans (Christina) of Teachey; his stepchildren, Ken Corbett (Crystal) of Carolina Beach and Mary-Elizabeth McLeod (Brooks) of Smithfield; and his sister Brenda Brinkley of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
