With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hilton Davidian Byrd in Smithfield, North Carolina, who passed away on July 10, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Hatcher and Esther Allen Byrd; his stepmother Lula Weeks Byrd; and his siblings, Rayford Byrd, Roy Byrd, Bill Byrd, Mae Singletary, Bobby Byrd, Janice Thorne and Betty Jean Capps.
He is survived by: his wife Betty M. Byrd; his sons, Davidian Byrd (Angela) of Clayton and Tony Byrd (Amy) of Archer Lodge; his grandchildren, Kurt Byrd (Rachel) and Kathryn Byrd (Andrew Terry); his great grandchildren, Jameson and Beatrice Byrd; and his sister Frances Ireland of Benson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
