She was predeceased by: her parents, Barney Hamilton and Glendora Hamilton; and her husband Clifton Whitley. She is survived by: her sons, Frank Whitley (Isabell) and Landis Whitley; her son-in-law Jerry Rose (Rose); her daughter Judy Rose; and her grandsons, John Whitley (Melissa), Doyle Woodall (Woody), Neil Poison, David Whitley (Ubel), Andrew Rose (Amy) and Jack Rose (Necah). She is also survived by her 13 great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church in her name. 202 S. Fourth St., Smithfield, NC 27577.
