He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Clay Byrd and Florence Thompson Byrd; his wife Sue Byrd; and his siblings, Velton Byrd, Thel Byrd, Hugh Byrd, Henry Byrd Jr., Lynn Byrd and Beatrice Byrd.
He is survived by: his children, Lee Byrd (Lynn) and Joann Norris (Donald); his grandchildren, Donnie Norris, Hunter Byrd, Kaylee Byrd and Ally Byrd; his brother Otis Byrd (Teresa); and his pets, Bubba and Bo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews.
