We bid farewell to Gurman Ralph Jackson of Smithfield, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 3, 2025 at the age of 98. Gurman Ralph touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gurman Jackson and Bessie Price Jackson; his wife Lois Bass Jackson; his son Timothy Ralph Jackson; and his siblings, Betty Mozingo, Chris Aycock, Sylvester Jackson and Millard "Jack" Jackson.
He is survived by: his children, Judith O. Jackson (Gerald) of Pikeville, Yvonne J. Sauls (Richard) of Eureka and Keith Jackson (Nina) of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, David Jackson, Stephanie Bridgers (Dean), Timothy Jackson and Rachel Woods (Colton); his great grandchild Landon Bridgers; and his siblings, Edie Jones and Tom Jackson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Sauls Family Cemetery (761 Reidtown Rd, Fremont, NC 27830). Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Nelson Missionary Baptist Church, 206 W. Main Street, Eureka, NC 27830.
