It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eloise Joyner Blackman (Smithfield, North Carolina), born in Wayne County, North Carolina, who passed away on February 17, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Joyner and Lou Elna Westbrook Joyner; her significant other Cecil Aycock; her son James Douglas Blackman; her son-in-law Mickey Phillips; and her brother Nathan Joyner.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dianne Creech (George) of Smithfield and Lou Phillips of Durham; her daughter-in-law Debra Lynn Braswell (Jimmy) of Smithfield; her grandchildren, Chris Blackman (Sharon), Kimberly Hines (Greg), Dale Phillips (Tracy), Tina Hairr (Chris) and Michelle McGinnis (Patrick); and her great grandchildren, Zach Parrish, Ambyr Phillips, Hunter Blackman, Lyndsy Parrish, Kyle Hairr, Dylan Blackman and Chanderson Phillips.
