We are sad to announce that on March 18, 2023, at the age of 93, Edward John Filicky of Smithfield, North Carolina, born in Hunker, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Thomas J. Filicky. He is survived by: his wife Mary Louise Filicky; his children, Carol Woodell (Van), John Filicky (Pam), Barbie Davis and Rhonda Stanley; his sister Kathleen Trout (Nelson); his sister-in-law Barbara Wineman (George); his grandchildren, Marisa Allen (Marc), Mandi Woodell (Dave), Emily Mills (Aaron), Joshua Cooper (Julie), Jonathon Cooper (Megan) and Nathan Adams (Katheryn); his great grandchildren, Eliana Criado, Gia Allen and Jack Cooper; and his pets, Missy, Geo and Loki. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Whitley Memorial United Methodist Church, Smithfield, NC.
