Dorothy De Laine Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy De Laine (Smithfield, North Carolina), who passed away on December 20, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Euzelia Morgan Holder and Jordan Burt; and her sister Lois. She is survived by: her former husband Joseph DeLaine (J. W.); her children, Allan, Louis (Zahra), Henry (Anita), Stephanie (Carlton), Tina (Andrea) and Nicole (Anthony); her husband Mr J; her grandchildren, Nicollette, Letitia, Adrian of Simone, AJ, Carl J, Jada, Michael, Jeremy and Saja; her great grandchild Cameron; her siblings, Theodore (Myra), Frances, Catherine, Sarah, Donald and Becky; her cousin Elaine (Charles); her children, Joanne and Lynton; and her daughter-in-law Jenifer Ray. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St Augustine AME Church.
