He is survived by: his wife Linda Broughton Sexton; his children, John William Blackman, Jr. (Megan) of Four Oaks and Kelly Anne Higgins of Smithfield; his grandchildren, Erik Higgins, Connor Higgins, Justin Lucas, Jayden Blackman and Maverick Blackman; and his sister Panis Yvonne Braswell of Princeton.
