He was predeceased by: his father Henry Nicholas Toler; his daughter Pamela Toler Daughtery; his sisters, Christine Willoughby, Pearline Worley and Katie McClung; the mother of his children Phyllis Toler Lane; and his close friend Mary Frances Jenkins.
He is survived by: his daughter Belinda "Lynn" Toler Best (Tom Best) of Clinton; his grandchildren, Shannon Best and Erica Best Faircloth (Pat Faircloth); and his great grandchildren, Tyler Mattocks, Brookelynn Faircloth and Patrick Faircloth, Jr.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
