He is survived by: his parents, Vanderbilt Southerland and Mary Henry Southerland Nwoke; his siblings, Vanderbilt Southerland Jr., Steven Southerland, Pamela Henry Eason (Terry), Valarie Southerland Norman (Durwood), Vanessa Southerland Hassell (Jay), Sonya Henry Harris (Tony) and Vernell Southerland Ricks; his former wife Yomeka Southerland; and his children, Nondi Southerland, Christopher R. Southerland, Takeia Mason, Kriseana Southerland, Christian Southerland, Jerrard Carter, Kaylen Mayfield, Yakeira Carter, Marquis Carter and Rakeya Carter. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
