He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard London and Sallie Jane Daughtry Thompson; and his wife Peggy Holloman Thompson. He is survived by: his son Terry Glenn Thompson of Smithfield; his sister Shelvia McLamb of Pine Level; his grandson Dustin Thompson (Meredith); and his great grandchildren, Lilly Anna Grace Thompson and Maverick Thompson.
