Cathy Massengill Thompson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cathy Massengill Thompson of Smithfield, North Carolina, who passed away on April 15, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren G. Massengill and Callie Barbour Massengill; and her siblings, Gordon Massengill and Judy Jones. She is survived by: her husband Melton "Mel" Thompson; her siblings, Betty Rose Parker (Harvey) of Four Oaks, Carlie E. Massengill (Alice) of Clayton and Richard Massengill (Debbie) of Selma; and her siblings-in-law, Lisa Thompson Peedin (Tony), Quinlan Harward (Tommy), LaNelle Massengill and Dennis Jones. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews & other family members.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Parrish Funeral Home Chapel (1351 S Pollock St, Selma, NC 27576). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. An entombment will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at the Selma Memorial Gardens (Selma, NC 27576).
