It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carolyn Cheek Palmer in Smithfield, North Carolina, born in Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on August 27, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Charles Cheek and Eva Babcock Cheek; her husband Bill Palmer; and her son Bill, Jr.. She is survived by: her son Tom; her sister Cathryn Zevenhuizen; her daughter-in-law Henrietta; her grandchildren, Matt (Robert), Hugh (Bradleigh), Ben (Meghan), Maggie, Reid (Hannah) and Preston; and her great grandchildren, Mary Reid, Parkes and Henry. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
