It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Edna Coombs in Smithfield, North Carolina, who passed away on October 23, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Bernice may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Bernice touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Coombs and Olivia Williams Coombs; her siblings, Larry Williams Coombs and Barbara Ann Coombs; and her nephew Michael Coombs.
She is survived by: her brother Elwood Coombs (Sherry) of Wallace, NC; her nephew Roger Coombs (Michelle); and her nieces, Amy Coombs Hines (Jimmy) and Susan Coombs Bradshaw (Ashley).
