He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Wright Cottle and Vickie Mae Capps Coats; and his great-nephew Hayden Michael-Dale Johnson. He is survived by: his daughters, Jessica C. Higgins (Derrick E. Higgins) of Dunn, NC, Tlyee H. Cottle of Benson, NC, Reyvin L. Cottle of Cora, WV and Tracsette Elmore of Cora, WV; his grandchildren, Dakota B. Higgins, Klole-Lynn J. Higgins, Maddox C. Higgins, Anaya G. Cottle and Izaak A. Cottle; his sister Joy Lynn Valdez (Levi Valdez) of Four Oaks, NC; his niece Destiny H. Johnson of Four Oaks, NC; and his great-niece Everlee M. Snider. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
