It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Adrian Jerome Ball Jr. of Smithfield, North Carolina, who passed away on May 9, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Adrian Jerome Ball Sr.; his wife Mary Newman Ball; and his brother Allen Ball. He is survived by: his children, Jerry Ball (Michelle) of Smithfield, Brian Ball (Jessica) of Southern Pines and Kristie Ball Strickland of Smithfield; his brothers, Kenny Ball (Rita) of Henderson, Gary Ball (Laura) of Elon, Randy Ball (Vicki) of Henderson and David Ball of Maryville, TN; his grandchildren, Sydney Ball Holmes (Michael), Ashley Ball, Christina Ball, Eddie Ball, Aidan Strickland, Riley Strickland, Lydia Ball and Elliot Ball; and his friend Jean Tyner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
