She was predeceased by: her father Furman Hensley; and her siblings, Lola Hughes, Myrtle Dulaney of Burnsville and Glen Hensley of Hickory. She is survived by: her husband C. L. Proffitt; her sister Grace Patrick of Zephyrhills, Fla.; her children, Danny Proffitt (Glenda) of Memphis, TN, Dennis Proffitt (Pat) of Sylva, Debbie Keisler of Wesley Chapel, FL, David Proffitt (Christy) of Sylva and Darrell Proffitt (Julia) of Asheville; and her grandchildren, Anthony Proffitt, Stephanie Kesner (Bobby), Cassie McAbee (Brad), Blake Proffitt (Felicia), Brady Proffitt, Megan Robitaille (Nichlaus), Lindsey Smathers (Josh), Josh Proffitt, Chloe Proffitt and Madison Proffitt. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
