He was predeceased by: his father John Henry Harris; his wife Edith Inez Farmer Harris; and his siblings, Lon, Celia, Elsie, Charlie, Pearl, Jessie, Lorene and Florence.

He is survived by: his friend Helen Brown; his siblings, Grady Harris (Ann) and Millie Dowell; and his children, Barbara Harris, Helen Hunt (Marvin), Larry (Sandy), Beverly (Lynn) and Homer (Jeannie). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

“Brother Luther Harris was a 50+ year Mason. He first became a Mason in Yocoalt, Washington on June 6, 1966 at Twin Falls Lodge #180. He moved to North Carolina and joined East Laporte Masonic Lodge #358 on October 8, 1971. Our Brothers mourn his passing and celebrate his rebirth with our Heavenly Father, whom we call the Supreme Architect of the Universe.”
