He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Sampson Bowles; and his siblings, Fannie Davall, Mildred Cunliffe, Nancy Kaltenbach and William Drake Bowles.
He is survived by: his siblings, Lillian Bowles of Skyland and Charles Bowles (Evelyn) of Arden. He is also survived by three nieces and four nephews.
