Betty Jean Ashe Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thad Brown and Betty Brown; her husband Elmer Ashe; her sons, Darryle Ashe and Kent Ashe; her siblings, Beulah Myers, Marietta Jones, Bernard Brown, Harry Brown, Ray Brown, Ned Brown, Arthur Brown and Carl Brown; and her children, Teresa Buchanan (Mark), Terry Ashe (Kathy), Keith Ashe (Christy) and Brian Ashe.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Shannon Ashe, Dustin Ashe (Stephanie), Justin Ashe (Amanda), Krystal Ashe and Darryle Buchanan (Bethany); and her great grandchildren, Hannah Ashe, Kaydance Buchanan, Grayson Buchanan, Owen Ashe, Willa Buchanan and Ethan Ashe. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church (524 Old Settlement Rd, Sylva, NC 28779). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at the Fairivew Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Skyland Care Center 193 Asheville Hwy, Sylva, NC 28779 for a new bus to transport residents to events and outings.
