It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dwight Dewey Thorne of Sims, North Carolina, who passed away on August 18, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Elton Thorne and Dorothy Adams Ballance; and his siblings, Merle Thorne and Janice Brock. He is survived by: his wife Judy Thorne; his sons, Chris Thorne of Wilson and Dennis Lucas of Manteo; and his brother Okey Thorne of Wilson.
