He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Etheridge and Geraldine Etheridge. He is survived by: his siblings, Danny Etheridge of Sims, Marie Dickerson of Loganville, Georgia and Ann Haywood of Newport News, Virginia; his niece Tina Delapenta of Newport News, Virginia; his nephews, Robbie Haywood of Florida and Bobby Haywood, Jr. of Virginia; his cousins, Andrew Etheridge, Robert Etheridge of Wilson, Evie Nichols of Rock Ridge and Donna Varnell of Wilson; and his adoptive son Daniel Etheridge of Bunn.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested for consideration of donations to be made in his name to the Youth of Wilson County, 114 Pine Street NE, Wilson, North Carolina, 27893.
