She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Monroe Flynn and Annie Pearl Whitaker Flynn; and her siblings, Ruby Flynn Bowman, Harold Flynn, Thomas Flynn and Wilson Flynn.
She is survived by: her husband Marshall Sowder; her siblings, Ellen Flynn Patton and Franklin; and her sister-in-law Frankie Flynn.
