She was predeceased by: her parents, William Carl Thomas and Ada McCraw Thomas; her husband J. W. Poindexter; her daughter Susan Evelyn Poindexter; and her siblings, Virgil Thomas (Buster), Ray Thomas, Roy Thomas, Junior Thomas, Betty Wright, Joanne Sisk and Mary Terry.
She is survived by: her son Larry Poindexter (Sheila); and her sister Jeanette Montgomery (Roger). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
