He was predeceased by: his son Steven Joyce; his father Dickie Larry Joyce; and his brothers, Dickie Joyce, Jr. and Jeff Joyce. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Kidd Joyce; his children, April Irby (Timothy) of Siler City, Whitney Harris (David) of Randleman, Brittany Lineberry (Christopher) of Siler City, Tony Lee Joyce, Jr. of Asheboro, Tommy Joyce of Asheboro and Daniel Davis (Cyrstal) of Randleman; his mother Linda Hesselmeyer (Robert) of Ramseur; and his siblings, Donna Cox (David) of Badin Lake, Chris Joyce (Iris) of Ramseur and Eddie Joyce (Bridget) of Virginia. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
