He was predeceased by: his parents, Ike Ferguson and LaBaron Ferguson (Teague); his wife Betty Lou Ferguson; and his siblings, Ferguson, Jr, Louise Fowler, Nelle Decker and Isabelle Fowler.
He is survived by: his children, Sallie Ferguson, Brian Herrmann of Siler City, Cindy F. Thomas (Tim) of Mooresville, NC and Thomas Michael "Mike" Ferguson of Apex, NC; his granddaughters, Alison Thomas and Morgan Thomas; his sister Nancy Harris of Siler City, NC; and his sister-in-law Pauline Case of Mayodan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
