He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Brown and Mildred Ward Brown; and his sister Janice Brown. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Cagle; his children, Sharon B. Hicks (Mike) of Liberty and Robert Wayne Brown (Beth) of Franklinville; his stepchildren, Vickie Massingale (David) of Denton, Dale Cagle (Angie) of Asheboro and Darrell Cagle (Ashley) of Ramseur; his grandchildren, Cory Hicks (Brittanie), Whitney Brown, Katelyn Brown and Sean Hicks; his great grandchildren, Kynlee Hicks and Laykyn Hicks; his aunt Irene Brown of Liberty; and his cousin Becky Shepard (Ray) of Florida. He is also survived by seven step grandchildren, seven step great-grandchildren.
