She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiram Thompson Chapin Sr. and Louola Harmon Chapin; her husband James C. Withers Sr.; and her siblings, Hiram Thompson Chapin Jr., John Harmon Chapin and Fannie McKay "Mac" Chapin Bost.
She is survived by: her sons, James C. Withers Jr. (Christina) and Steven C. Withers (Teresa); her grandchildren, Amanda Puckett (James) and Christoper Lewis; her great grandchildren, Carter James Puckett, Dalton James Lewis and Brentley Chasin Lewis; and her sister Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Chapin Graybeal. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Summerville Presbyterian Church (2065 Old US Hwy 421, Lillington, NC 27546).
