He is survived by: his mother Cindy Isley Gurley; his sister Mallory Gurley Edwards; his brother-in-law William Stephen Edwards; his brother Marshall Jacob Gurley; his grandparents, Joel and Shelby Isley; and his stepgrandfather Don Ludington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chatham Central Athletics.
