We bid farewell to James Vernon Pike Sr. (Siler City, North Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 11, 2025 at the age of 89. James Vernon touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kermit Taft and Elsie Smith Pike; his son James Vernon Pike, Jr.; and his siblings, Juanita Redding, Shirley Murray, Brenda Pike, Kermit Pike, Jr., Jerry Pike and Marshall Pike.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ferguson Pike; his daughter Michele Pike Smith (William "Keith"); his daughter-in-law Laura Pike; his stepdaughter Karen Jackson; his sisters, Barbara Kivett (Kenny) and Nina Stout; his grandchildren, Todd Pike, Jessica Pike, Chase Smith, Carson Smith, Zephen Bartolet, Zayna Bartolet and Brittany Morton; and his great grandchild Leah Morton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty (212 W Swannanoa Ave, Liberty, NC 27298). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hickory Grove Traditional Methodist Church (10068 Silk Hope Liberty Rd, Siler City, NC 27344).
