He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Henry and Susan Herbert Allen; and his siblings, Alfred Allen, Richard Allen, Mary Frances Lee and Edith Griffith.
He is survived by: his wife Florence Headen Allen; his children, Tina Cousart of Mt. Vernon, NY, Nina Cousart of Mt. Vernon, NY, Donna Cousart of Tobyhanna, PA., Henry Allen of Lawrence, MA, Lewis Allen of Lowell, MA, James M. Allen of Cameron, NC and Douglas D. Allen of Siler City, NC; and his brother Dr. Thomas N. Allen of Surrey. He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
