He was predeceased by: his mother Irene Lankford Simpson; his brothers, Jimmy Simpson and David Simpson; and his stepson Chad Batts. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hearn Simpson; and his children, Perry Scott Simpson, Kim Hager and Paige Simpson. He is also survived by two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
