It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of DeWitt Barnhill Griffin (Siler City, North Carolina), who passed away on April 7, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Griffin and Eula Mae Barnhill Griffin; his stepfather Arthur Swatts; his brother David Edward Griffin; and his pet Dexter.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Sue Gathings Griffin; and his children, David DeWitt Griffin of Siler City and Nancy Sue Griffin of Asheboro, NC. He is also survived by several sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Siler City, the Siler City Lions Club, or the ASPCA.
