With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Noma Carolyn Shimek of Sherrills Ford, North Carolina, who passed away on July 15, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Nix and Eula Yancey Nix; her husbands, Jerry Hodges, Doug Rowland and Mike Shimek; her son Anthony "Tony" Hodges; and her siblings, Jack, Ernest, Hubert Nix, Leta Hendley and Maggie Nix.
She is survived by: her daughters, Terri Hodges Pardue (Kevin), Joy Reyne Hodges and Paula Yvette Hellem (Rolf); and her grandchildren, Jennifer of Heather, TJ, Stephanie, Jeremy, Matthew, Kristian, Cecilia, Jamie and Caleb. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
