She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Lee Long (Paw Paw) and Eula Clayton Hill Long (Maw Maw); her husband Syd N. Shepherd, Jr.; and her siblings, Clyde Raymond Taylor Jr., Grover Cleveland Taylor, Brady Lee Long Jr., Jim Shepherd and Evelyn Mozelle Taylor Calhoun.

She is survived by: her brother Printing Co; her sons, Syd N. Shepherd III (Kim) of Charlotte, Sam M. Shepherd (Robin) of Sherrills Ford and Scott T. Shepherd (Patricia) of Charlotte; her sister Shirly Ann Long Ballew (Don) of Fountain Inn, SC.; and her grandchildren, Jessica Shepherd, Sydney Shepherd, Jordon Shepherd, Steven Shepherd, Alex Shepherd, Daniel Shepherd, Justin Moore, Geneva Shepherd, Tom Shepherd and Gillian Shepherd.
