It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay McNeely III of Sherrills Ford, North Carolina, who passed away on July 24, 2020, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Crawford McNeely, Jr. and Doris Stikeleather McNeely; and his brother Robert McNeely. He is survived by: his wife Jane Parsons McNeely; his daughter Jayelene M. Hall of Statesville; his stepsons, Joseph Ervin (Paige) of Washington, DC and Benjamin Ervin (Anne) of Charlotte; his grandsons, Tyler Pake Millsaps and Austin Ray Harmon; his great grandchild Judson Ray Harmon; and his siblings, Ann Messick of Troutman, Sue Clanton of Statesville and Carl McNeely of Statesville.
